Heroic Rescue: Female Handball Players Save Driver’s Life in Overturned Vehicle Accident

Three female handball players from the Busan Facilities Corporation women’s handball team have been hailed as heroes after their quick response saved the life of a driver involved in a car accident.
On October 11th, a vehicle rollover accident occurred on a road in Dong-myeon, Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do at around 1:30 pm. The vehicle collided with a guardrail while driving on the road and overturned.
Da-young Kim, Jin-mi Shin, and Ga-hee Jeong, who witnessed the scene, immediately took safety measures to prevent a secondary accident with their vehicles. They quickly rescued the driver trapped in the overturned vehicle and checked the driver’s condition before quietly leaving the scene.
Their heroic act became known to the world when the rescued driver contacted the Busan Facilities Corporation directly to express his gratitude. The driver said, “If it weren’t for the three players, I wouldn’t be here right now.”
Kim Da-young said, “I happened to see an accident while passing near my accommodation, but I couldn’t pass it by. I’m so glad I was able to rescue the driver safely.”
The selfless act of these three female handball players has been widely praised, and their bravery has set an example for others to follow.
