Hezbollah Declares Major Victory Over Israel, Surpassing 2006 Success
Hezbollah Declares Major Victory Over Israel
Jakarta – Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem announced a “major victory” over Israel, claiming it surpasses their victory in July 2006. This declaration came during Qassem’s first speech since the ceasefire began in Lebanon.
“I officially declare that we face a major victory that exceeds the victory of July 2006,” Qassem stated. He emphasized, “We won by preventing the enemy from destroying Hezbollah and weakening the resistance.”
Hezbollah previously claimed victory after the ceasefire was implemented. The group assured that its fighters are ready to confront Israel’s ambitions.
“A victory from God is support for the right cause,” Hezbollah stated in a recent announcement. This was the group’s first official statement since the ceasefire took effect on November 27.
Hezbollah insisted its fighters will remain completely prepared to confront Israeli attacks. The statement did not mention the terms of the ceasefire agreed upon with Israel.
Israel intensified bombings targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanon starting September 23. This escalation followed a year of cross-border attacks between Israel and Hezbollah, amid ongoing war between Tel Aviv and Hamas in Gaza. Hezbollah described its attacks on Israel as solidarity with Hamas.
