Hezbollah Mourns New Leader: Ibrahim Qubaisi
Hezbollah mourned a new leader in its ranks, Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi (Haj Abu Musa), who was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a southern suburb of Beirut on Tuesday afternoon.
Who is Ibrahim Qubaisi?
Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi was born in 1962 in Jabdin, South Lebanon. He joined the ranks of the Islamic Resistance since its founding in 1982 and planned many resistance campaigns against the Israeli occupation, especially in the regional axis, which he took over between 1998 and 2000.

Israeli Military Statement
The Israeli military said it had “eliminated Ibrahim Muhammad al-Qubaisi, commander of Hezbollah’s rocket and missile systems.”
He added in a statement that Qubaisi was an official with special experience in activating missiles, including precision-guided missiles, and was responsible for several operations against Israel, including Tuesday’s missile launch towards Haifa.
Death Toll and Aftermath
According to the latest figures from Lebanese Health Minister Firas al-Abiad, the death toll from Israeli bombing in southern and eastern Lebanon has risen to 558, including 50 children and 94 women, and 1,835 wounded.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to launch new attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
