Hidden Road Partners CIV (AD) has received in-principle approval from Abu Dhabi Global Market’s Financial Services regulatory Authority (FSRA), positioning the crypto prime broker to operate as a regulated financial services provider in the United Arab emirates. The company was acquired by Ripple in April.
The approval allows Hidden Road to offer clearing and prime brokerage services for both conventional and digital assets to institutional investors in the UAE, pending full authorization. James Stickland, UAE CEO of Hidden Road, called the ADGM approval a “critically important milestone,” citing the jurisdiction’s high regulatory standards.
Ripple’s acquisition of Hidden Road, valued at $1.25 billion, included cash, XRP tokens, and equity.The deal is expected to close soon. Hidden Road clears $3 trillion annually across various markets and serves over 300 institutional clients.

Prior to this UAE approval,Hidden Road received FINRA authorization to operate as a broker-dealer in the U.S.
