High Levels of Well-being Reported by Rioja Teenagers

La ⁤Rioja,Spain – A new study reveals that a critically important percentage of teenagers​ in la Rioja‌ are experiencing high levels of psychological well-being ⁢and quality of life. The findings,published in the book ⁣”Fortalezas psicológicas en la adolescencia.‌ Resultados del Estudio PSICE en La Rioja,” are based‍ on ⁣research conducted by a⁤ team of ⁤experts‌ from the University of​ La‍ Rioja, ⁤the University of Oviedo, and the ⁣University of Valencia.

The ⁢study, funded by ⁤the Spanish Ministry of ⁣Science ‍and Innovation, the European ‍Regional Advancement Fund, Psicofundación, and the⁣ Government of La Rioja, aimed to analyze⁣ psychological​ strengths ⁣among ​adolescents ​in La Rioja’s educational settings.

Researchers surveyed 2,235 ‍students⁣ from ‍34 schools across the‌ region, with an average ‍age of 14.49 ⁤years.They assessed‌ various psychological⁣ indicators,including ​emotional well-being,subjective​ quality of life,prosocial behavior,positive affect,self-esteem,sense‍ of belonging to their school,and⁢ perceived social support.

“The results show that a large number of​ adolescents in La Rioja report high levels of emotional well-being and subjective quality⁢ of life,” said ⁤Eduardo Fonseca Pedrero, ‌lead researcher of the project.

For ​example, the study found that approximately 84-90% ⁣of the surveyed teens​ felt positive or happy​ in the‍ week leading up to ⁤the​ survey.

this research highlights⁤ the importance of ⁢accessible, ‍timely, inclusive, public, and high-quality psychological care ​for young⁣ people.‌ The findings provide⁤ valuable insights into the⁢ well-being of adolescents‍ in La Rioja and can inform the development⁢ of targeted interventions and support programs⁢ to further enhance their mental health and overall well-being.
