The Public Prosecution has announced the filing of ⁤a public ‌case against a member​ of the Public⁣ Security ⁣Service and the‌ Security ⁤Station in connection with the killing of citizen ‍Abdul Muhaimin Al-Fallah.

The Public Prosecution’s media office added that the‌ Public Prosecution authorities have demanded ‍the⁤ trial of⁢ an officer who misled the investigation into​ the same murder‌ attributed to his colleague.

Background of ‌the Incident

Abdul-Muhaimin ​Al-Fallah, a fan ​of Al-Ittihad club, was ​shot on May 15, 2023 ‍during a match between Al-Ittihad⁤ and ​Al-Ahli Benghazi team and died a​ few days‌ later in Tunisia.

Investigation and ​Proceedings

On May 20, ‌2023, the Public Prosecutor’s Office announced⁣ that ‌the Public ‌Prosecutor had ordered the judicial ⁢police to take necessary measures to ⁢investigate, after which he ⁢would announce the identification ⁢of the perpetrators and order their ⁢pre-trial detention pending investigation.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office⁤ indicated at the time that⁢ it had “interrogated a member of the police force who learned about the crime ‌and identified its perpetrator,⁢ but ​did ​not ‌take the ‍initiative ​to ⁤report it, which necessitated his imprisonment.”
