Recent data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) reveals meaningful variations in earnings across different nationalities employed in Ireland during 2024. The median weekly earnings for all workers reached €730.89, representing a 4.5% increase compared too the previous year.
Indian nationals demonstrated the highest average weekly income at €876.04,although this figure represents a year-on-year decrease. Following closely, UK nationals earned a median of €780 per week, while Irish nationals reported median weekly earnings of €762.72.

Employment Distribution and Age Demographics
Irish nationals constitute the largest portion of the Irish workforce,accounting for 72.5% of all employment. Non-Irish nationals make up the remaining 27.5%. Among non-Irish workers, Polish (3.2%),Indian (3.1%), and UK (2.7%) nationals represent the largest groups.
Age distribution also differs between Irish and non-irish workers. 26.4% of employment among Irish nationals falls within the 15-24 and 60 years and over age groups, a considerably higher proportion than the 13% observed for non-Irish nationals.
