Key Findings on Earnings by ‍Nationality

Recent data from ⁤the ‍Central Statistics Office (CSO) reveals meaningful variations in earnings across different nationalities employed in Ireland during 2024. The median weekly earnings for all workers reached €730.89, representing a 4.5% increase compared too the previous year.

Indian nationals demonstrated the highest average weekly income at €876.04,although this figure represents a year-on-year decrease. Following closely,​ UK ⁤nationals earned a median of €780 per week, while Irish nationals reported median weekly earnings of €762.72.

Employment Distribution and Age Demographics

Irish​ nationals constitute the largest⁣ portion⁤ of the Irish workforce,accounting for 72.5%‍ of⁤ all employment.⁤ Non-Irish ‌nationals make up the remaining 27.5%. Among non-Irish workers, Polish (3.2%),Indian (3.1%), and⁣ UK (2.7%) nationals represent the largest groups.

Age distribution also differs between Irish and non-irish ⁤workers. 26.4% ​of employment among Irish nationals falls within the 15-24 and 60 years and over age groups, a considerably⁣ higher proportion than the 13%‍ observed for ⁢non-Irish nationals. This suggests ​a different ‍age profile‌ within the⁣ Irish workforce ​compared to its international counterparts.

The⁣ CSO data also highlights income disparities.Ukrainian workers reported the lowest average incomes, earning less than €500 per week. Brazilian workers also earned below the ⁢national average, with weekly incomes of €563.
