Hightower,a major player in the financial sector,has strategically invested in Smith Anglin,a Dallas-based financial planning and wealth management firm. Smith Anglin manages approximately $2 billion in assets and has been providing retirement and tax preparation services as 1967.
The 34-person Smith Anglin team focuses primarily on serving clients within the aviation industry.This move represents Hightower’s second strategic investment in 2025,further expanding its wealth management capabilities.
Bob Oros, chairman and CEO of Hightower, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. He noted Smith Anglin’s distinct business model, client focus, and notable organic growth within the airline industry.
Hightower now supports over 140 advisory businesses across 35 states and Washington,D.C. The company offers investment, financial, and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations, and family offices. Additionally, Hightower provides 401(k) consulting and cash management solutions for corporations. As of Dec. 31, 2024, Hightower and its affiliates managed approximately $156 billion in assets.
