Hillsborough High School’s gymnastics team posted a state-leading score of 112.175 on Sept. 26, 2026, outdistancing the field at the Raider Invitational during a severe nor’easter that disrupted athletic schedules across New Jersey. Ranked third in the state, the Raiders surpassed their previous season-high mark while sweeping the top three individual places across all four apparatuses.
Raiders Sweep Individual Events and All-Around Standings
Erin Gengler paced the host squad by capturing the all-around title with a 37.375. Teammate Emily Baum finished second with a 35.950, and Emily Minetti secured third with a 35.325. On the vault, Ashley Womak took first place scoring a 9.6, followed by Hailey Womak in second with a 9.5 and Minetti in third with a 9.4. Baum led the uneven bars rotation with a 9.2, ahead of Gengler’s 9.1 and Michelle Prajogo’s 8.775. Ashley Womak returned to capture the balance beam with a 9.5, while Gengler scored a 9.3 for second and Baum posted a 9.125 for third. Gengler closed her afternoon by winning the floor exercise with a 9.65, trailed by Baum at 9.55 and Minetti at 9.475.

Team Standings and Weather Disruptions Across the State
Hunterdon Central finished second in the team standings with a 102.850, led by Paige Brecht’s fourth-place all-around score of 34.950. Brecht also added a 9.25 on vault and an 8.875 on beam. Summit placed third with a 100.475, paced by Lily Silver who finished fifth in the all-around at 33.650 and fifth on the beam with an 8.85. Franklin competitors Sofia Rodrigues and Kayla Charles competed as individual entrants across the vault, beam, and floor. Severe weather forced cancellations elsewhere in the state, preventing East Brunswick and Old Bridge from competing as originally scheduled on Sept. 26, 2026.
Upcoming Schedule for Hillsborough, Hunterdon Central, and Summit
Hillsborough will hit the road to face Montgomery, and Hunterdon Central travels to take on Westfield.
