Hisense has unveiled its 2026 RGB MiniLED TV range as part of its global campaign marking the 50-day countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026™, positioning the technology as a breakthrough in display innovation for immersive sports viewing and smart home integration.
The launch, announced on April 21, 2026, in Dubai, UAE, highlights Hisense’s role as a three-time FIFA World Cup official sponsor, having first partnered with FIFA in 2018 and continuing through 2022. The company is leveraging the tournament to showcase its latest generation of flagship products designed to elevate how fans watch, live, and connect during the event.
At the center of Hisense’s World Cup lineup is the RGB MiniLED display innovation, led by the flagship UR9 Series alongside the premium UX models. These televisions are powered by an RGB MiniLED backlight system and the Hi-View AI Engine RGB processor, enabling the UR9 Series to achieve 100% of BT.2020 color coverage with exceptional accuracy and vibrancy.
The sets feature a native 180Hz refresh rate, a Devialet-tuned 4.1.2 Multi-Channel audio system, and region-optimized panels, including Anti-Reflection & Glare-Free technology for Europe, Australia, and other regions, and Obsidian Panel technology for the Americas, delivering stadium-grade sight and sound to the living room.
Hisense has also confirmed its role as the official and exclusive Video Assistant Referee (VAR) Review TV Provider for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. As part of this partnership, the company has upgraded the display equipment in the FIFA World Cup Video Operation Room (VOR Room) to Hisense RGB MiniLED TVs, which provide ultra-high color gamut and precise color reproduction to enable clear and authentic restoration of live match footage for video assistant referees.
At CES 2026, Hisense introduced RGB MiniLED evo, described as a breakthrough in display technology and a real evolution of RGB MiniLED for the entire industry. This advancement incorporates a fourth Sky Blue-Cyan LED in the backlight, expanding color performance to up to 110% of BT.2020 color coverage, 134-bit color control, and over 40,000 color dimming zones, resulting in superior picture quality, exceptional contrast, and high peak brightness for more lifelike and immersive color reproduction.
The innovation is positioned under Hisense’s ‘Innovating a Brighter Life’ campaign, which seeks to extend breakthroughs in display technology beyond sports viewing to create a more intuitive and connected living environment. Hisense emphasizes that its RGB MiniLED technology, originating from the company’s engineering leadership, represents the next frontier for color accuracy and visual comfort in home entertainment.
Hisense’s strategy for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ centers on using the global sporting stage to highlight how its display innovations enhance fan engagement, with the RGB MiniLED lineup serving as a key demonstration of the company’s capabilities in high-performance, AI-integrated home electronics.
