Zyno Medical Issues Infusion Pump Recall; HealthEC Settles Data Breach Lawsuit

Zyno Medical is recalling select Z-800 infusion pumps as of software that did not undergo proper verification, the company said. Simultaneously occurring, population health management platform vendor HealthEC and four of its customers will pay $5.48 million to settle a class action lawsuit stemming from a 2023 data breach.
In other news, the Department of Veterans Affairs is moving forward with its Oracle Health-based EHR implementation. Deputy Secretary Paul Lawrence said facilities in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio are preparing to go live in 2026. Implementation activities are slated to begin this month at sites in Anchorage and Cleveland,with 13 facilities scheduled to go live next year.
