US Presidential Election Debate: Harris ​and Trump Face⁤ Off

US Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Trump held a‍ televised presidential election debate at 10 ‍Eastern ⁣Time⁢ (11th⁤ Taiwan Time) expected to ‍determine the winner‍ of the⁤ debate. In the final sprint of selection.

Debate Details

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Time: 9pm ET⁢ on the 10th

Duration of Debate: 90 minutes (with 2 commercial‌ breaks)

This presidential debate was hosted by ‍the American ‌Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and took place in a⁢ studio without a ⁤live audience ⁤like⁣ previous Biden-Trump debates. CBS News will host the vice presidential debate ​on October 1.

Debate Moderators

ABC ⁣”World ‌News Tonight” anchors David Muir ⁢and Lynsey Davis hosted the ⁣questions. Sponsors will not disclose​ questions or issues to campaigns or candidates in advance. Moderators will try to ​maintain time protocol and ensure that the debate is conducted in a civil manner.

Debate ‍Rules

The night ⁣before the debate, both sides used a video coin toss⁤ to select the order in which Trump would ​make his closing arguments. Harris chose to‍ stand ‌on the left, where the‌ podium is to ‍the⁢ right⁤ of the⁤ screen;

A pen, stack of paper and a water bottle will be provided at the podium, no props or ⁣pre-written⁢ notes are allowed.

There will be no opening remarks for the‍ debate Candidates have 2 minutes to⁣ answer questions, 2 ​minutes to ‌rebut,​ add, clarify or ⁢reply and ⁢2 minutes‍ to conclude their arguments.​ Campaign workers are ⁤not allowed‌ to⁤ contact candidates during commercial ‍breaks.

When it’s their turn to speak, the candidate’s microphone will be ⁣on, while the other candidate’s microphone will be ⁢muted. Additionally, candidates are⁤ not ‌allowed to ask⁤ each other questions.
