Ballincollig secured a commanding victory over Nemo Rangers in their Rebel Young P1 MFC match, finishing with a scoreline of 3-14 to 1-9. The win puts Ballincollig in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages, while Nemo Rangers are now eliminated from contention.
Muskerry Men Finish Strong
The game saw a dominant performance from Ballincollig, notably in the final quarter. With just 12 minutes remaining,the Muskerry side found another gear,with Kevin O’Leary and Brian Cronin controlling the midfield. They rattled off 2-3 without reply, effectively sealing the victory.
Cronin himself bagged both goals from close range, the result of some brilliant team play, bringing the score to 3-14 to 1-9 by the 59th minute. While Nemo Rangers managed a consolation goal through substitute Morgan Corkery – son of Cork footballing legend Colin Corkery - in added time, it wasn’t enough to alter the outcome.
