A man has been detained in Zulia, Venezuela, following allegations that he sexually assaulted his mother and threatened her life with a knife inside their residence.

The arrest follows a report that the suspect used a knife to intimidate the victim, threatening to kill her to ensure her compliance and silence during the assault.

Authorities acted after the victim denounced the crime, leading to the apprehension of the suspect by security forces in the Zulia region.

The case is currently being handled by the 48th Prosecutor’s Office (Fiscalía 48) of the Public Ministry, which is responsible for coordinating the investigation and gathering evidence related to the assault and the threats.
