Lorraine, a part-time assistant parish⁢ secretary, and her two daughters ​recently found themselves facing homelessness when their landlord needed their ⁢long-time rental property back. despite a good relationship ​with the landlord, Lorraine was unable to find suitable choice housing and was forced to move into emergency accommodation 14 weeks⁢ ago. The experience has been “traumatic” for the entire family.

“I asked my youngest daughter this morning what was the worst thing for her,and she said ‌I’ve no space for⁢ myself,I can’t be on ​my own,” ​Lorraine said.

The lack of space and stability has particularly impacted Lorraine’s 14-year-old daughter, who has additional ‍needs, including hypermobility. The family’s ⁣previous ⁤home had been a social hub for the ​children and their friends, a vital ⁤outlet that ⁤is now ⁢lost
