Hani Adel: The Guitar Enthusiast and Music Icon

Renowned artist Hani Adel has confessed to being addicted to buying guitars, with an impressive collection of 48 guitars. Among his favorite guitarists are the legendary Gary Moore and Egyptian music icon Omar Khorshid, who is credited with introducing new music styles.

A Bond with Downtown Band

During an interview on the One People program with journalist Amr Al-Laithi, Adel expressed his deep connection with the downtown band, stating, “They are my sisters and the people closest to my heart. We have not separated and will not. We have reached the international stage and performed numerous concerts worldwide.”

Respect for Maharaganat Songs

Adel emphasized the importance of respecting Maharaganat songs, which he considers an Egyptian invention. He believes that Egypt has a rich musical heritage, including folklore, traditional, and modern Arabic music. He mentioned that some songs, although popular, may contain inappropriate language, but noted that this is not unique to Egypt, as similar issues exist in Western music.

Collaborations and Favorite Songs

Adel has collaborated with various artists, including festival performers and Shayba. His favorite songs include “Bab Al-Sama,” which holds a special place in his heart. He also revealed that he has performed under the name “The Gray Man,” a title given to him due to his white hair.
