Hongseong county Promotes Tourism in Daejeon ahead of ‘visit⁢ Hongseong Year’

HONGSEONG, South Korea (AP) ⁢— Hongseong County, designated for the ‘Visit Hongseong Year’ in⁣ 2025, is actively promoting its regional tourism this year. The county is showcasing its attractions at the‍ ‘2025 Hongseong ⁣Special Hanwoo (Korean beef) exhibition’ held at the Hanbit Tower Plaza in Daejeon Expo ⁣Science Park from May 3-18.

Spotlighting Key Attractions

the‍ promotional⁣ event highlights key tourist destinations, including the Hongseong Global Barbecue Festival, ⁤scheduled for Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 in the Hongju Eupseong area, and the Hongseong⁣ Namdang Port Music Fountain Park,‍ known as the largest water fountain park of⁤ its kind in the country.

The Music Fountain Park, operating until Nov. 16, ⁢features music fountain shows and water play ⁢experiences on ⁢weekends and holidays, drawing significant crowds of families, according to county officials.

To engage visitors, the county is hosting‍ Hongseong-themed quiz shows ⁤and offering local specialty product⁢ giveaways. These interactive programs allow attendees to experiance the flavors and cultural appeal of Hongseong and sample regional products.
