Jungle Bob – Palawan Islands: Cast Members Face Challenges in the Wilderness
In the latest episode of SBS’ ‘Jungle Bob – Palawan Islands’, Ryu Soo-young and Yui experienced a series of unexpected challenges that left viewers on the edge of their seats.
Yui’s Sea Urchin Hunting Adventure
Yui and Kim Kyung-nam ventured out to the sea to find food, with Yui looking nervous but determined. Kim Kyung-nam, on the other hand, was excited to show off his freediving skills, boasting that he could hold his breath for 2 minutes and 53 seconds. The two soon discovered an abundance of sea urchins and began hunting for them using a skewer.
However, Yui’s excitement was short-lived as he got injured by a sea urchin spine. Despite the setback, Yui and Kim Kyung-nam continued their adventure, trying their hand at line fishing to catch the bisugo fish, a delicacy of Palawan.
Ryu Soo-young’s Jungle Exploration
Ryu Soo-young and Lee Sang-yoon embarked on a jungle exploration with a local guide, discovering a huge mango tree and marveling at the local’s ability to climb to the top without any equipment. The two enjoyed the exotic jungle exploration, sampling sweet and sour green mangoes.

However, Ryu Soo-young’s adventure took a turn for the worse when he experienced an allergic reaction to the raw gabi stem. Despite the locals’ warnings, Ryu Soo-young had to stop filming due to the discomfort and itching sensation.
Recovery and Redemption
Yui met with a doctor to remove the sea urchin spine stuck in her hand, while Ryu Soo-young sought help from the locals to recover from his allergic reaction. The locals advised him to eat sugar made with coconut vinegar, which led to a remarkable recovery.
Yui and Kim Kyung-nam’s day of adventure came to a close with a modest catch of two squid, which they bartered for sea urchins and five fish. They ended their day with a simple but satisfying dinner of steamed fish.
