2024 Rural Revitalization County Basketball Invitational Tournament Kicks Off

China​ News‍ Service, Xinzhou, September 2 ⁣- The 2024⁢ Rural Revitalization County Basketball Invitational Tournament, guided by the State General ​Administration of Sports and the ‌Chinese Basketball Association and hosted by the Shanxi Provincial ⁣Sports Bureau, is being held ‍in Fanshi County, Xinzhou City,⁤ Shanxi Province from September 1 to 7.

Twenty-two county-level teams from Shanxi, ⁢Hebei, Jiangxi, Guizhou,‍ and other provinces will participate in the‌ tournament, bringing 57 exciting basketball matches. ⁣The ‍opening ⁢match saw the Fanshi County team competing against the Loufan⁢ County team, with the host team losing to the opponent⁣ with a score of 61 to 62.

The tournament aims to promote the ⁢exchange of ⁤experience in rural revitalization“>rural revitalization work, consolidate and expand the results of the effective connection between ⁣poverty alleviation and ⁤rural revitalization. ‍Outside the competition venue, the results of targeted assistance from central units and characteristic agricultural products ‌from some participating counties are being displayed and exhibited simultaneously.

Jia Jipo, deputy county ⁣magistrate of Fanshi ​County, hopes to utilize the integrated development model of‌ ‘sports + rural revitalization’ to inject new vitality and strong momentum into the rural revitalization strategy. By hosting basketball ‌games, the county aims to promote exchanges, mutual learning, and common improvement between Fanshi County and its‌ sister counties.

The General Administration ⁣of Sport ⁢of⁤ China has leveraged the advantages of sports⁢ resources to promote the economic and cultural‌ development of ⁤Fanshi County through various means ⁢such as “sports + industry” and “sports ⁣+ events”.​ Basketball events have become a⁤ brand ⁣event in Fanzhisi‍ County, with the ⁤county hosting seven consecutive​ “Nongshang⁣ Cup” basketball‌ games and other tournaments.

Zhao Bin, deputy secretary of the Fanshi County Party Committee and county​ magistrate, hopes that the participating athletes will show⁤ their style,‍ friendship, ‍and‌ level.
