10th “Tianping Cup” Basketball Game Opens in Guizhou Provincial Court System
On September 2, the 10th “Tianping Cup” basketball game of the Guizhou Provincial Court System kicked off at the Qiandongnan Prefecture National Gymnasium. Mao Ronghua, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Provincial Court, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Mao Ronghua pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the construction of a strong sports nation and stressed that “sports spirit is a microcosm of the Chinese spirit”. The biennial “Tianping Cup” basketball game is a traditional sports event that the court staff of the province are proud of, and it is also a brand of court culture construction.
Mao Ronghua emphasized that the 10th “Tianping Cup” basketball game is an important event for the province’s courts to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is an opportunity for courts at all levels in the province to jointly build, promote, exchange and learn from each other, and work together to seek development.
A total of 10 units, including the Provincial Court and 9 municipal and state intermediate people’s courts, will participate in the 10th “Tianping Cup” basketball game. Each participating unit will organize a basketball team to compete fiercely in the four-day competition.
At the opening ceremony, the guests, athletes, referees, and others sang the national anthem together and watched the opening ceremony performances.
Afterwards, Mao Ronghua kicked off the game.
Liang Zhengbiao, member of the Standing Committee of the Qiandongnan Prefecture Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Prefecture Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
