Blue Mountain Cup 2024: Miyun District Basketball Championship and Military-Civilian Basketball Game
The “Blue Mountain Cup” 2024 Miyun District Basketball Championship and Military-Civilian Joint Basketball Tournament, co-organized by the Miyun District Sports Bureau of Beijing, the Miyun District Federation of Trade Unions of Beijing, the Miyun District Party Committee and District Party Committee of Beijing, the Miyun District Veterans Affairs Bureau of Beijing, and the Miyun District Sports Federation of Beijing, officially opened at the Rose Garden Scenic Area in Miyun District on September 23.
During the opening ceremony, Beijing Enterprises Basketball Club and Miyun District Sports Bureau signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will collaborate on training young athletes, organizing events, and training referees and coaches to help Miyun build a basketball specialty area and promote the rapid development of Miyun basketball.
The tournament features four groups: agency group, town and street group, social group, and women’s group. A total of 52 teams with nearly 700 participants from the district are competing in the event, with over 180 games scheduled. This is the highest number of participating teams and the largest scale of participation in the tournament’s history.
The opening ceremony was held at the scenic Rose Garden Scenic Area, combining the natural scenery, folk customs, farming culture, nostalgia, industrial development, and sports events. This innovative model of “sports + rural revitalization” aims to drive the development of sports + industry and promote the golden business card of Miyun Sports, “Fashionable Sports and Vibrant Miyun”.
