Weifang University Student Basketball League Kicks Off

On the afternoon of September 25, the 2nd Weifang University Student Basketball League, a series of activities of the “Basketball Season” of the 14th National Fitness Games of Weifang City, kicked off at the outdoor basketball court of Weifang Ginza Shopping Center.
The competition attracted more than 260 athletes from 21 basketball teams of 17 universities in Weifang, who jointly launched a basketball youth storm. This league is a five-person basketball competition, divided into two groups, men’s and women’s, with a single round-robin, and then a cross-match system to determine the ranking.
The league attracted 16 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams from 17 universities in Weifang, including Shandong Second Medical University, Weifang University, Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology, and Weifang University of Science and Technology. The opening match on September 25 was between the men’s team of Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology, the champion of the previous session, and the men’s team of Shandong Industrial Technician College.
After a fierce competition, Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology defeated Shandong Industrial Technician College with a score of 83:60 to win its first victory. The Second Weifang College Student Basketball League is one of the “Basketball Season” series of activities of the 14th Weifang National Fitness Games. The competition will last until October 15.
