Authorities have identified a hotel guest who was shot and killed in a parking lot outside the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in North Bethesda, Maryland, on May 14, 2026.
The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) identified the victim as 41-year-old Quentin Tyrone Davis. According to investigators, Davis had no known address.
Details of the Incident
Officers were dispatched to the 5700 block of Marinelli Road at approximately 11:37 a.m. On May 14 following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located Davis lying in the parking lot with visible gunshot wounds.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attempted to save Davis, but he was pronounced dead at the location.
An MCPD investigation determined that Davis, who was staying at the hotel, was walking alone through the parking lot toward the building when he was approached by another individual. That person allegedly shot Davis and immediately fled the scene.
Investigation and Search
Following the shooting, police conducted a search of the immediate area. The search effort included nearby Metro trains and was supported by personnel from the Metro Transit Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Police officials stated that there is currently no description of the suspect.
