Hotline ‍TNT, the indie rock band known for its‌ dynamic live performances, ⁣has solidified its lineup after years ⁤of revolving members. Jake Anderson,⁣ the creative force behind the group, initially handled all⁢ recording duties himself. This was largely due to touring logistics ⁤and frequent changes‍ in band personnel. however, the‌ increasing‌ demands following their sophomore album, Cartwheel, necessitated a ⁣more permanent arrangement.

Anderson’s journey began with the lo-fi release ‍of Nineteen ‌In Love on YouTube and managing the band’s website,Association Update. The band⁢ then signed with Third man ‌Records. As Hotline TNT’s⁤ touring schedule intensified, the ‍need for committed members became clear.

Around 2023, Trammel joined to fill in on bass during tours with Quicksand and Wednesday.Ralston, a frequent‍ collaborator with anderson, then invited ‍Hunter to join. These early tours ‍proved‍ crucial in developing the quartet’s chemistry on stage. The band’s sound, ⁣heavily influenced by‍ 90s British rock, transforms live, taking on a faster tempo and increased volume. Bands‌ like teenage Fanclub, Ride, Oasis, ⁤and The Jesus and Mary Chain serve as key influences, shaping Hotline TNT’s unique blend of shoegaze and jangle-pop.

The addition of new members amplified the band’s energy, cementing their reputation as a formidable live act.”The sound engineer will ask us to turn it down, and it’s usually met ⁢with some resistance,” Trammel said. “We just think louder is better, regardless of what the ⁣professionals think.” The band’s ⁣commitment to a high-energy,high-volume performance remains a cornerstone of their identity.

What’s next

With a solidified lineup, Hotline TNT plans⁤ to continue touring and‍ recording, bringing their amplified sound to audiences nationwide. Fans can expect more high-energy performances and new music that builds on their established 90s rock influences.
