Police Response and Justification
The Fulshear Police Department provided a justification for the detention, stating that officers were responding to a robbery call at the time of the stop. According to the agency, Booker’s vehicle matched the description of the vehicle involved in the reported robbery.

Booker stated that she was unaware of the reason for the stop while it was occurring and that her two children witnessed the entire scene. She reported that she was eventually released at the scene, though she noted that no apology was issued by the officers involved.
