CROMWELL, conn. – Viktor Hovland, ⁤a prominent name in golf, pulled out of the Travelers Championship on ⁤Sunday after experiencing neck soreness. The discomfort arose during warm-ups and intensified after just two holes of play.

Hovland was not the ⁤only golfer to leave the PGA Tour’s signature event early. Eric Cole, previously tied for 14th, ⁣withdrew before the round due⁣ to illness. Matti Schmid also withdrew after playing four holes.

Hovland described the onset of his injury. he said he felt fine during his initial warm-up, but upon hitting a couple of drives, he felt somthing amiss in his neck.
