How an Abusive Ex Remotely Controlled a Woman’s Tesla to Harass Her

Court Conviction and Sentencing Details

Enrico Pucci, a 50-year-old disgraced businessman, was convicted of 30 domestic violence-related charges against his former partner, Stacey, according to court records cited by The Guardian. Judge Peter Feather sentenced Pucci to two years and three months in prison before the Parramatta local court in western Sydney. The sentence carries a non-parole period of 15 months. Pucci entered guilty pleas to the charges the week before a scheduled hearing in August. During sentencing remarks recorded in police documents and press reports, Judge Feather stated that Pucci engaged in abusive behavior over a four-year period. The judge noted that the defendant used “multiple methods to dominate” the victim, which included weaponizing the Tesla application to control her vehicle and forging fraudulent employment opportunities to create financial dependency while forcing her to pass up other opportunities. “When viewed cumulatively, [it] amounts to conduct that’s both coercive and controlling in nature, reflecting a pattern of behaviour designed to entrench power and compliance,” Judge Feather stated, according to court records.

Vehicle Remote Control and Digital Harassment

The harassment via automobile technology escalated in late 2025, when Stacey heard her Tesla car alarm sound on three occasions in the middle of the night. Police documents show she was too scared to go outside because she believed Pucci might be damaging the vehicle. The next morning, the car appeared undamaged, but Stacey discovered its electronic dashboard had been reset and an unauthorized “parental control” profile had been added. Three days later, Pucci followed her in another vehicle and yelled at her about a man she was dating, shouting, You thought you’d get away with this. I am in your car. I am in your maps, according to police records. Stacey quickly learned she had no access to the newly created parental control profile, which possessed extensive remote capabilities over the vehicle. Between November 6 and November 12, 2025, Pucci remotely manipulated the car’s interior temperature between extreme heat and extreme cold. Police documents detailed the ongoing safety hazards created by the remote access: The victim has not been able to drive certain speeds and on most recent occasions throughout this period, [the accused] has turned on ‘Valet Mode’ which immediately reduces the speed to 40km per hour causing significant safety issues for the victim on the road. The records added that Pucci remained the sole user with administrative access to the vehicle’s controls through the Tesla app, causing the victim significant mental harm and fears for her physical safety.

Prior Incidents of Coercive Control and Physical Abuse

The police tender outlined earlier instances of physical violence and intimidation during the relationship. In March 2020, while inside a car with Stacey’s two-year-old son, Stacey informed Pucci she wished to end the relationship. Pucci threatened that it would be the last time she saw her son, forcibly took her phone, and typed a message to her ex-husband claiming she could not care for the child and wished to give him up, according to court records. He then dragged Stacey to a nearby pillar, pinned her against it, told her to say goodbye to her child, and drove off with the boy while leaving her without a phone or car. In a separate incident in 2021 after they were married, Pucci strangled Stacey until she lost consciousness. Court files state she recalled hearing gurgling noises and fighting for her life before blacking out, believing she was going to die.
