How long will the Barcelona player Lamine Gamal be out of the field? sport
Barcelona’s young Spanish player, Lamine Jamal, will be out for two to three weeks with an ankle injury, his Catalan side announced on Monday.
The club announced – in a statement – that the talented 17-year-old player “suffered a Grade 1 injury to his right ankle joint this Monday, which is expected to keep him out for two to three weeks.”
The Polish team’s veteran top scorer, Robert Lewandowski, will also be out for “ten days after suffering a lower spinal cord injury.”
Jamal and Lewandowski form a striking force for Barcelona in the attacking line, along with Brazilian Rafinha, the trio who have scored the most goals in Europe’s five major leagues this season.
Jamal, a European champion with the Spanish national team, has scored 6 goals in 15 matches this season, 17 goals for Poland in various competitions and is currently the top scorer in La Liga.
Jamal missed Barcelona’s last game, which they lost 0-1 at Real Sociedad on Sunday, after picking up the injury during the 5-2 win over Serbian Red Star in the Champions League midweek last week.
“We tried everything, but his participation was impossible. We have to take care of him,” his German coach Hansi Flick said before facing Sociedad.
He continued, “He’s a young player and had an ankle problem and it’s not easy for him and for us.”
