Canon’s limited edition 30th Anniversary PowerShot G7X III Graphite Kit will be available for purchase in the United States starting April 28, 2026, according to official announcements from Canon U.S.A. The special edition camera arrives with unique aesthetic features while maintaining the same technical specifications as the standard G7X III model released in July 2019.
The limited edition model features a distinctive graphite gray finish positioned between the standard silver and black versions, along with an exclusive 30th Anniversary PowerShot logo on the top plate. It ships in a special anniversary edition box and includes a limited-edition Peak Design wrist strap and 32GB SD card in the U.S. Kit configuration.
Functionally, the camera retains all core specifications of the original G7X III: a 20-megapixel Type 1 stacked CMOS image sensor, DIGIC 8 processor, 4Kp30 video recording capabilities and the 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 equivalent built-in zoom lens. Canon U.S.A. Has confirmed that the internal components remain identical to the standard model despite the cosmetic updates.
Availability begins with preorders opening on Canon U.S.A.’s official online shop at 11 AM EST on April 28, 2026. The company has acknowledged “incredibly high demand and limited quantities” for the special edition, though it has not disclosed specific production numbers, unlike Fujifilm’s explicit limit of 1,934 units for its X100VI Limited Edition.
Prior to the U.S. Release, the limited edition camera had already begun arriving in select international markets. Reports indicated availability in the United Kingdom and Australia, where some units appeared on secondary markets such as eBay at elevated prices due to constrained supply.
Canon’s PowerShot series celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, marking three decades since the launch of the PowerShot 600 in July 1996. As of February 2026, Canon had released 200 different PowerShot models in the United States, with the G7X III remaining one of its most popular compact camera offerings despite ongoing stock challenges for standard versions at major retailers.
