Once you have the Gyaradosite, have your Gyarados hold it. Then, fill up the Mega Gauge with Mega Energy. The fastest way to collect Mega Energy is by mining Mega Shards.
3. Is Mega Gyarados Worth It?
Gyarados is a Flying/Water type, weak to Electric and Rock.Mega Evolution changes its typing to Dark/Water, which is arguably a bit weaker defensively. Though, Gyarados boasts a high Base Attack, which increases with Mega Evolution. Its flexible moveset allows for strong coverage. Recommended moves include:
* Waterfall (STAB – Same Type Attack Bonus)
* Crunch (STAB)
* Two hard-hitting Coverage moves (Dragon Rush, etc.)
