Liège-Bastogne-Liège 2026 is set to deliver a defining moment in the spring classics calendar as top contenders Tadej Pogačar, Demi Vollering, Remco Evenepoel, and Marta Seixas prepare to race the men’s and women’s editions of La Doyenne on April 26, 2026.
The men’s race, covering 258 kilometers from Liège to Liège via Bastogne, will feature a renewed challenge on the iconic Côte de la Redoute and Côte de Saint-Nicolas in the final 30 kilometers. Pogačar, the defending champion and two-time winner (2021, 2023), aims to become the first rider since Philippe Gilbert in 2018 to win three editions of the race. Evenepoel, who finished second in 2024, returns with strengthened Ardennes form after a focused spring campaign targeting the Monuments.
On the women’s side, defending champion Demi Vollering looks to repeat her 2024 victory, having already won Amstel Gold Race and La Flèche Wallonne earlier in the 2026 Ardennes week. Seixas, the Portuguese national champion and rising star, aims to break through after podium finishes in both the Amstel and Flèche Wallonne. The women’s race spans 156 kilometers over the same finale as the men’s, featuring three ascents of the Côte de la Redoute in the final 25 kilometers.
Broadcast details for the 2026 edition have been confirmed across key regions. In the United States, both races will air live on Peacock and NBC Sports, with coverage beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET for the women’s race and 11:30 a.m. ET for the men’s. In Canada, FloBikes will stream both events live, while global audiences can access the race via the UCI’s official YouTube channel and regional broadcasters such as RTBF in Belgium, France Télévisions, and Sporza in the Netherlands.
Race organizers emphasize that Liège-Bastogne-Liège remains one of cycling’s most demanding one-day events, with cumulative elevation exceeding 4,000 meters in the men’s race and 2,800 meters in the women’s. The outcome will significantly influence UCI World Cup standings and serve as a critical benchmark ahead of the upcoming World Championships in Zurich later in September.
As the Ardennes week concludes, all eyes turn to Liège-Bastogne-Liège to see whether Pogačar can cement his legacy, Evenepoel can claim his first Monument, Vollering can defend her title, or Seixas can deliver a breakthrough performance for Portuguese cycling. The race will not only test physical endurance but also tactical acumen on one of sport’s most revered courses.
