HTX Ventures, the investment arm of the HTX cryptocurrency exchange, has invested in Figment Capital, an early-stage venture firm based in New York City. Figment Capital specializes in blockchain infrastructure.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Figment Capital, launched in 2021 and managed by James Parillo, leverages its technical expertise and its connection to Figment Inc., a staking infrastructure provider.
Figment Capital offers technical support to portfolio companies including EigenLayer, Celestia, Initia, Wormhole, Movement and zkSync.
“The HTX Ventures team has been incredibly helpful in our growth as an emerging investment fund. Their knowledge of the Asian market and experience operating a globally recognized exchange has been invaluable as we continue to grow,” said Parillo.
HTX ventures, based in Singapore, supports over 200 projects across various blockchain sectors, many of which are already trading on the HTX exchange. The firm actively collaborates within the blockchain ecosystem alongside global funds like Dragonfly, Bankless Ventures, Animoca, Shima and IVC.
