Huairou Wins Top Honors in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Animal Disease Prevention and Control Competition
The third Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Animal Disease Prevention and Control Vocational Skills Competition was recently held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. The Epidemic Control Center Team of the Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau of Huairou District, Beijing, stood out among the teams from all districts in Beijing and represented Beijing in this competition.
After fierce competition, Gao Yang from Tanghekou Institute of Huairou District Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau won the first prize in the competition with the first overall personal score. Wang Jian from the Yanqi Institute of the District Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau and Liu Gan from the Epidemic Control Center of the District Agricultural and Rural Bureau won the second prize in the individual competition.
The competition was attended by 15 teams from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei Province. The competition was conducted in the form of theoretical knowledge test and on-site skill operation assessment. On-site skill operation included five items: blood sampling from chicken wing vein, blood sampling from chicken heart, chicken body dissection and sampling, swine fever vaccine immunization injection, and blood sampling from pig anterior vena cava.
According to the total score of the competition, there were 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 18 third prizes. Huairou District won 1 first prize and 2 second prizes. The contestants’ hard work and dedication paid off, and their results were a testament to their rigorous training and preparation.
The competition may be over, but the pursuit of excellence continues. As animal epidemic prevention personnel, the Huairou District Agriculture and Rural Bureau will remain committed to their duties, continually improving their skills and contributing to rural revitalization.
