Zhuhai,China – Get ready for faster commutes! The highly anticipated Huangmao Sea Cross-sea Channel,a major infrastructure project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,officially opens to traffic tomorrow,July 11th,at 3 p.m.
This new channel connects Zhuhai in Guangdong to Jiangmen, creating a direct transportation link between Hong kong, Macau, Zhuhai, and jiangmen.
The channel, which is the west extension of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, will significantly reduce travel times. The drive from zhuhai to Jiangmen will be cut from over an hour to just 30 minutes. travelers from Hong Kong will also benefit, with the journey to Jiangmen now taking onyl an hour and a half.

The Huangmaohai Cross-Sea Channel spans approximately 31 kilometers, with a 14-kilometer cross-sea section. It features impressive structures like the Gaolan Port Bridge and the Huangmaohai Bridge, which boasts the largest span of any three-tower cable-stayed highway bridge in the world.
To celebrate the opening,road tolls will be temporarily waived. Detailed toll information will be released in the coming weeks.
