The blundering machine was jogging backward down the track but failed to correct its course, toppling backward onto its head and sustaining midsection damage that sent sparks flying. In a separate video shared by Chen, a machine developed by Chinese robotics firm Unitree ran off the track and collided with an electrical box during course testing. According to reporting from Universal.net, the test involved Unitree’s new Superman humanoid robot, which the company claims can high jump approximately 2 meters and reach speeds up to 12.658 meters per second. That claimed speed surpasses the top recorded mark of 12.42 meters per second set by human sprinter Usain Bolt. Unitree stated that the machine has been in development for slightly over three months, according to Universal.net.
