RALEIGH, N.C. – The Carolina Hurricanes are banking on eric Robinson’s continued contributions, inking the forward to a four-year, $6.8 million contract. General Manager Eric Tulsky announced the agreement Friday, ensuring Robinson’s $1.7 million annual cap hit through the 2028-29 season.Robinson’s role as a depth forward is now solidified.
Robinson, a native of Bellmawr, N.J., is coming off a career year. he tallied personal bests in goals (14), assists (18), and points (32) after joining Carolina as a free agent. During the Hurricanes’ playoff run to the Eastern Conference final, where thay fell to the Florida Panthers, Robinson added three points in 15 games.
“It’s no surprise to us that Eric had his best professional season last year with Carolina,” Tulsky said. “His size and speed make him an excellent fit for the way we want to play.”
The Hurricanes have consistently made the playoffs, reaching the postseason seven straight times under coach Rod Brind’Amour. Robinson’s prior playoff experience was limited to the 2020 bubble season with Columbus.
