ABAO Txiki Closes Season with ’I Am Wild!’

BILBAO, Spain – ABAO Txiki concludes its 20th season with the premiere of “I am Wild!,” a multidisciplinary performance blending music, theatre, and visual arts.Performances are scheduled for May 10-12 at the Arriaga Theater.
The production, suitable for audiences ages four and up, draws inspiration from the myth of the wild child raised by animals and the real-life story of Koko, a gorilla who learned to communicate through sign language.
“I Am Wild!” explores themes of cultural norms, the relationship between humans, animals, and nature, and the limitations of rote memorization in education.The narrative centers on Mona and Koko, examining communication, education, and the importance of connecting with nature.
Joaquín Casanova and Elisa Ramos lead the creative team,with Ángela Cáceres and Noah Lifone in starring roles. Mezzo-soprano Solomia Antonia is accompanied by pianist Jorge Camacho and flutist Manuel Rallo.
Bizkaibus and ABAO Txiki Partner to Promote Sustainable Transportation
Initiative Encourages young people to Embrace Public Transportation
ABAO Bilbao Opera and Bizkaibus collaborated on a campaign, “Bizkaibus brings you closer to opera,” to encourage young people in Biscay to use public transportation and develop an appreciation for opera.
The initiative promotes sustainable mobility and environmental awareness. ABAO Bilbao Opera distributed invitations through its communication channels and collaborating municipalities for ABAO Txiki performances.
Youth members of Youthamam ABAO also participated in activities and raffles to strengthen their connection with public transportation through cultural experiences.
The 20th edition of ABAO Txiki concludes as an artistic and educational program.
