Noh Hong-chul’s Plane Encounter Sparks Public Outrage

On a long-haul flight, Noh Hong-chul was asked by a woman, “Aren’t you a celebrity?” and then requested to change seats to a narrower one, sparking public outrage.

Noh Hong-chul shared a video of his encounter on his YouTube channel, where he was asked to change seats by the woman, who claimed she had been in the front seat since breaking up with someone.

Despite the woman’s existing seat being narrower than Noh Hong-chul’s, he agreed to the request, saying, “Would you like to change it?”

Noh Hong-chul, known for his positive mentality, took the situation in stride, saying, “I am really looking forward to this trip. Before something good happens, there is always a bit of cloud, but when these things accumulate, the main event becomes very interesting.”

Viewers who watched the video criticized the woman, calling her “shameless” and accusing her of intentionally asking Noh Hong-chul to change seats by mentioning his celebrity status.

Comments on the YouTube video included, “You’re not a celebrity, but you seem to say that if you don’t change it, you will publish it on the Internet,” and “The intention is to make you change by intentionally asking if you are a celebrity.”

Online communities also responded, with some saying, “If you want to change in the first place, shouldn’t you give up a better place?” and “You’re a celebrity? I can’t refuse because I don’t know what kind of rumors will spread on the Internet if I refuse from the moment you say it.”
