African Super Cup Match Sparks Controversy Over Studio Logo

Sports journalist Ibrahim Fayek found himself at the center of a controversy surrounding the presence of the Al-Ahly club logo⁢ in the studio background during the analysis of the African Super Cup match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek.

The highly anticipated match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek is set to take place this Friday at 9pm at⁢ the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

Addressing⁣ the issue on MBC Egypt 2, Fayek clarified that the presence of the Al-Ahly logo was not a deliberate attempt to show bias towards either team. He explained, “The studio is not exclusively affiliated with Al-Ahly, and‍ it features both⁢ Al-Ahly and Zamalek flags and logos.”

Fayek further elaborated ⁣on the matter, stating, ⁤”The stadium’s design features ⁢four columns, with two bearing the Al-Ahly logo and the other two bearing the Zamalek logo. Unfortunately, the studio’s location coincidentally placed the Al-Ahly logo in the background.”
