Massachusetts Immigration Enforcement Nets 40 arrests

A recent immigration enforcement operation on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts resulted in approximately 40 arrests, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The immigration enforcement effort targeted illegal immigration and aimed to bolster public safety.
Among those apprehended where a documented member of the MS-13 gang and at least one individual identified as a child sex offender. The operation involved collaboration between ICE officers and agents from the FBI, DEA, and ATF.

Patricia H. Hyde, acting field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston, stated that the operation led to the arrest of a significant number of illegal aliens, including a child predator. The U.S. Coast guard assisted in safely transporting the individuals from the islands.
“ICE officers and FBI, DEA and ATF agents worked together to arrest a significant number of illegal alien offenders which included at least one child predator,” Hyde said.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has emphasized that ICE is actively removing illegal immigrants from various locations across the country.DHS also offers financial travel assistance and a $1,000 stipend to illegal immigrants who self-deport using the CBP Home app.
