A notable development is the conversion of the QEDm profile to an IG publication. Previously available only in PDF format, the QEDm profile now features a full set of conformance resources and examples, establishing a clear connection to MHD using mXDE. Future plans involve aligning QEDm with HL7 IPA, perhaps ready by summer 2025.
The document Digital Signature (DSG) profile now includes a JSON signature option, supplementing the original XML-Signature. This addition reflects the increasing tooling support for JSON Digital Signatures.
IHE has also introduced a new Finance and Insurance Services supplement, targeting needs outside the U.S. this supplement aims to profile the FHIR standard for finance and insurance services, with initial deployment expected by the World health Organization (WHO).
The Scheduling profile has been updated to FHIR R4, building upon the Argonaut scheduling Implementation Guide. This update includes improvements based on practical experience and is intended for international use without dependencies on national profiles.
