Egyptian Stars Find Solace in Umrah After Red Sea Film Festival
Mecca, Saudi Arabia – Renowned Egyptian actress Ilham Shaheen recently embarked on a spiritual journey, performing Umrah in Mecca. The actress, known for her captivating performances in numerous Egyptian films and television series, shared photos of herself standing before the Holy Kaaba on her Facebook page, expressing her heartfelt devotion.
“May Allah accept [my Umrah] and place it in the balance of my mother’s good deeds and give her a resting place in heaven, O Lord.. I miss her and will continue to do so until we meet again,” Shaheen wrote, poignantly reflecting on the loss of her mother.Shaheen was joined on this pilgrimage by fellow Egyptian stars Yousra and Amir Shaheen, along with his wife, Menna Jaballah. The group,all dressed in black,were seen in photos radiating serenity and reverence as they performed their religious duties.Yousra, a celebrated actress in her own right, was pictured wearing a niqab.
This spiritual journey followed the trio’s participation in the fourth session of the Red Sea Film festival, held in Saudi Arabia from December 5 to 14. Shaheen, Yousra, and Amir Shaheen were prominent figures at the festival, actively engaging in film screenings, seminars, and dialog sessions.
The pilgrimage to Mecca, a deeply personal and important act of worship for Muslims, offered the Egyptian stars a moment of reflection and spiritual renewal after the bustling energy of the film festival.
