The 2024 African Super Cup match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 27th, at the Kingdom Arena Stadium in Saudi Arabia as part of the Riyadh season’s activities.

Al-Ahly club owns the largest share of African Super Cup titles with 8 titles, while Zamalek is second with 4 championships.

Mustafa Fathi’s Comments Spark Controversy

Mustafa Fathi appeared at a fashion party attended by many Egyptian football stars, where a video clip of the Pyramid star went viral, responding to a question about his expectations for the upcoming Al-Ahly match against Zamalek.

When asked about his expectations, Fathi replied, “And I am financially… the problem I don’t care.” He also confirmed that he had left Zamalek, saying “Yes” when asked if he had moved away from the club.

Fathi returned to Zamalek in the summer of 2018 but was loaned out again in January 2021. He then moved to the Pyramids in the summer of 2021 before joining Saudi al-Tawun in January 2022.
