Rie Muranaka Profile
Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1958. After studying psychology and children’s literature at university and graduate school, she met children in the pediatric ward at the university hospital where she worked. Since then, they have continued to read picture books together. Children’s literature author and former professor at Notre Dame Seishin Women’s University.
Notable works include: ”Let’s read picture books with children” (Budosha), “Read picture books with the elderly” (Budosha), “What you can see from reading picture books together” (Budosha), “Fraying the heart, a repair shop.” (Crayon House), “Onee-chan” (Ronrysha: Noma Children’s Literature Award Winner), “Unko Diary” (BL Publishing), ”Kutsushita no Hara” (Japanese Standard), and many others.
