The study found that nearly half of CML patients experienced at least one dosage modification within the first year of imatinib therapy. The retrospective study included 118 adult patients diagnosed with CML who received imatinib as their initial treatment between 2008 and 2023. The median age was 61, with a majority being women (55%). The patient population represented diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Of the patients studied, 50% (59 individuals) experienced a total of 112 dosage modification events within the first year.
