Imran Khan Seeks Islamabad High Court’s Intervention in Military Custody Case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan has approached the Islamabad High Court to prevent his transfer to military custody for a military trial in the May 9 cases.

A petition was filed in the Islamabad High Court by lawyer Uzair Karamat Bhandari on behalf of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, naming the Law Secretary, the Interior Secretary, and the Federation as parties.

Additionally, IG ⁤Islamabad, IG Punjab, DG FIA, and IG Prisons have been‌ made parties to the petition.

The petition seeks to suspend‍ the transfer of PTI founder Imran Khan to military custody, ensuring that the former prime minister remains in civil courts and in civil custody.

Former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf‍ Imran Khan stated⁤ on August ⁤19 that⁤ the drama surrounding Lieutenant General (R) Faiz Hameed is aimed at taking him to ‍a military court, as General ‌Faiz is a witness against him.

Imran‌ Khan emphasized that all remaining cases against him have been completed, which is why they now want to take him to a‌ military court, intending to coerce something from General (R) Faiz.
