Bridge collapse​ in India Kills Two,Dozens Injured

A tragic bridge collapse⁢ in Pune,India,has resulted in at least two deaths and​ more than 30 injuries. The​ bridge,spanning the​ Indrayani River in western India,gave way​ sunday,prompting a large-scale ⁤rescue operation.

Maharashtra Chief ‌Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed that several peopel were swept away by the river⁤ after the structure failed. In a‌ social media​ statement, Fadnavis said authorities are conducting an “operation ‌on a war ⁤footing”⁤ to⁣ locate those missing.

Earlier on Sunday, a helicopter carrying Hindu pilgrims crashed in a forested area⁤ near the Kedarnath pilgrimage route,‍ claiming the lives of all seven people on⁤ board. The helicopter​ was en route to Guptkashi from Kedarnath ⁣in ⁣Uttarakhand.
