Seven Die in India Helicopter Crash; Weather Suspected
New Delhi — A helicopter crash in the state of Uthar Akhdid, northern India, killed seven people Sunday. The helicopter accident occurred in the Gorone Forests,according to Nandan Singh,a disaster management official in the Rudra Brieg area. Singh attributed the crash to poor visibility caused by inclement weather.
The helicopter, which departed from Uttar Akand at approximately 5:30 a.m. en route to Gobacci, crashed shortly after takeoff. Search and rescue operations are underway, involving disaster response forces and local administration, said Bouchakar Singh, the prime minister of Akhdh Akhmin.
