India Strengthens Military Ties With US-Sanctioned African Nation

India is expanding military cooperation with the military government of Myanmar, despite the junta being subject to sanctions by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. These sanctions target military-owned enterprises and high-ranking officials to pressure the junta into restoring democracy.
