India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test Day 2: Rain Threat Continues, Match Likely to End in Draw

The second day of the second India-Bangladesh Test in Kanpur is under threat from rain, which could lead to a draw. On the first day, Bangladesh ended on 107 runs for three wickets after losing the toss and batting first. Mominul Haq (40) and Mushfiqar Rahim (6) are at the crease, but the rain may disrupt their progress.

India’s pace attack, led by Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, failed to make a significant impact on the first day. Akash Deep took two wickets, while R Ashwin took one. Zakir Hasan was dismissed without scoring a run, falling to Akash Deep. Yasir Ali was caught at slip by Gambhir, and Shadman Islam was trapped in front of the wicket by Akash Deep.

Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 31 runs before being caught at leg before by R Ashwin. With India having won the first match by 280 runs, a draw in the second match would still secure the series for India. The rain may have the final say, however, and fans will be hoping for a break in the weather to allow the match to continue.
